Jared Greene, a HomeTrust Business Center Leader in Knoxville, Tennessee, believes his small business and life experience give him an outside-the-box perspective that helps him foster long-term success for his clients.
Before starting his banking career, Jared worked with multiple small businesses in roles ranging from retail sales to HVAC maintenance.
He now specializes in commercial real estate, equipment finance, treasury and depository solutions, and working capital for tradespeople including plumbers, electricians, remodel contractors, auto mechanics, and others.
Jared prides himself on taking businesses to the next level, including being a financial partner in growing sales from $500K to over $1.0MM or more.
Some of his transactions include a $25K loan to a local haunted house; a $350K working capital line for an interior designer; a $950K commercial real estate loan for the purchase of a gas station where he once struggled to pay for fuel; and dozens of working capital lines from as little as $5K to over a quarter million, benefitting numerous trades and businesses, including the HVAC company where he worked years ago.
Jared was born and raised in Chattanooga and attended East Tennessee State University in Johnson City.
On summer days, he slips off his shoes and takes a walk through his garden, where he prides himself on growing high-quality, super-hot peppers, including Ghost Peppers, Carolina Reapers, and Naga Vipers.
He traces his love of gardening to childhood visits to The Cumberland Plateau in Middle Tennessee, where his grandmother and great-aunt maintained a 20-acre farm. Between the ages of 8 and 12, he regularly exhibited fruits and vegetables at the Grundy County Fair, winning $3 for first place, $2 for second, and $1 for third.
He currently lives outside of Athens, Tennessee with his wife, two sons, and daughter.
He and his family recently built a chicken house.
