Jeff Mylton built the HomeTrust Commercial Loan Production team in Charlotte.
After joining the bank on January 1, 2015, following the acquisition of The Bank of Commerce, Jeff eventually helped HomeTrust establish a regional location in SouthPark in 2021. A year later, he identified a prominent location in Cornelius, North Carolina to construct a two-story building, with the bank branch on the first floor and the Equipment Finance division on the second.
Jeff continues to partner with his team to support commercial real estate developers, investors, and middle-market companies throughout North Carolina.
He has enabled his customers to develop multi-family shopping centers, single-tenant credit retail, residential neighborhoods, and medical offices, and he has assisted numerous small businesses with their growth.
Jeff offers deep knowledge and expertise and aims to go above and beyond to build strong relationships. He is grateful to have a client base which recognizes the bank’s unparalleled service.
Prior to HomeTrust, Jeff helped form the commercial banking unit in Charlotte for First Charter Bank, eventually managing the newly created Commercial Real Estate group. He transitioned to Special Assets when Fifth Third Bank acquired First Charter and later became part of a new division responsible for all commercial real estate lending under $10MM, with the entire Southeast in his purview.
He started his career in the management training program at AmeriFirst Bank in Miami, Florida.
Originally from Miami, Jeff earned a Bachelor in Business Management and a Certificate in Commercial Banking from Florida International University. He is a North Carolina Certified Commercial Investment member (CCIM), serves on the Urban Land Institute Charlotte Advisory Board, and is also a graduate of several Leadership programs, including Charlotte and Miami.
Outside the office, Jeff can be found mountain biking at various Lake Norman area trail networks. He also enjoys vacationing at the beach in Florida or in the North Carolina mountains and spending time with his wife, two grown children, and three grandchildren.
