As a starting cornerback for the University of Michigan, James Floyd covered wide receivers to prevent touchdowns during a career that culminated in a 23-20 overtime victory against Virginia Tech in the 2012 Sugar Bowl.
In his second career at HomeTrust, James considers his defensive training to be the foundation of his approach to risk management.
James currently serves as a leader of the HomeTrust Business Center for the Greater Greenville market, where he provides solutions for business banking clientele related to commercial real estate, equipment finance, treasury and depository solutions, and working capital.
His representative transactions include a variety of vehicle fleet loans, as well as owner-occupied and limited investment properties.
Born and raised in Greenville to a school teacher and line of small business entrepreneurs, James strives to take a family-first approach to his clients and build long term relationships with others in the community.
He is the proud father of two children, Jordin and Titan, and lives in the Planter’s Row Subdivision in Mauldin, South Carolina.
