HomeTrust Bank is proud to sponsor the Pisgah Legal Poverty Forum.

This is the seventh year Pisgah Legal Services (PLS) has hosted a forum to draw attention to the plight of people living in poverty in WNC. Last year PLS helped more than 15,000 people in the mountain region, almost 3,000 of which had critical housing issues.

This event will include a talk from Matthew Desmond, PhD. His New York Times bestselling book Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City draws on years of embedded fieldwork and painstakingly gathered data. Evictedwon the 2017 Pulitzer Prize, National Books Critics Circle Award for Nonfiction.
