Empty Bowls is a simple meal of soup and bread. All guests receive a handcrafted bowl to keep as a reminder of all the empty bowls at meal time in Polk County and around the world.

This 5K raises money for the Davidson County Education Foundation (DCEF). This organization is dedicated to the enrichment of educational opportunities in Davidson County by to providing support innovative programs that benefit the students of local Public School System.

The Vinton Fall Festival is a tradition in Vinton.  Streets lined with over 100 craft and food vendors, entertainment on 2 stages, children's activities, and much much more! With attendance reaching 10,000 it's a "don't want to miss event" . Learn more on the event website.

This event will highlight the amazing skills of award-winning AB Tech Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts and Hospitality Management Departments, along with the Craft Beverage Institute of the Southeast. Money raised from the event will go to “Fund the Need” to support student scholarships.

The Polk County Film Initiative (PCFI) is expanding its theme of bringing film production to Polk County by hosting the 2017 Tryon International Film Festival. The festival organizers are expecting an array of independent titles which will premier over a three-day period at multiple venues in and around Tryon.

This is an opportunity to purchase truly unique gifts from local merchants. This three-day shopping extravaganza will bring in more than 80 vendors to the Legrand Center in Shelby.
