Rockingham County senior service providers have collaborated to present a conference in honor of Wold Elder Abuse Awareness Day. The conference is to provides outreach and education to seniors and service providers regarding elder abuse and the services that are available. HomeTrust Branch Manager, Bridget French, will be at the conference speaking about financial abuse.

Beginning in 2005 Party in the Park has become a Roanoke area tradition. Produced by EventZone, these events raise funds for local non-profit organizations. These non-profit partners provide volunteers, enthusiasm and promotional assist, and receive a portion of the net proceeds. Party in the Park is a party with a purpose!

Weaverville, NC - In its 24th year this annual 5k raises money to provide scholarships for North Buncombe students planning to attend a college or technical school.

Asheville, NC - For the sixth year in a row, Asheville Community Theatre will hold their annual fashion show to raise money for the growing theatre.

Kingsport, TN - This week long festival provides a great place to participate in a variety of sporting events, see some beautiful hot air balloons, listen to hit bands, and eat amazing regional food!
