WCQS, a local Asheville radio station held a one day pledge drive sponsored by HomeTrust Bank to raise $10,000 for Homeward Bound.

Homeward Bound is a WNC based organization whose mission is to end homelessness in the area by moving people into housing of their own and providing the support they need to stay housed for good. 89% of the people they’ve housed haven’t become homeless again.

HomeTrust Bank made a matching $10,000 grant in honor of Bob Shepherd, who is retiring from the Board of Directors after 27 years of service. The grant will help fund the expansion of Homeward Bound’s AHOPE Center.
