Charles Abbitt has been named Chief Risk Officer for HomeTrust Bank. Abbitt joined HomeTrust Bank in 2008 as Chief Credit Officer. He has over 35 years of banking credit/risk experience, including several years’ senior officer service with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta. Abbitt earned a BS degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, and completed both the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, and The University of Virginia School of Bank Management. He currently serves as Chairman of The Lewis Rathbun Center in Asheville, NC. He resides in Asheville.

Molly Ponder has been promoted to Compliance, Operational Risk and Business Process Manager for HomeTrust Bank. Ponder joined HomeTrust Bank in 2008 as Compliance & Risk Manager. She has over 20 years of banking experience, concentrated in internal audit, compliance and risk management. Ponder earned dual degrees from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and completed the Maryland Banking School. She resides in the Asheville community of Biltmore Lake.

Teresa White has been named Corporate Secretary for HomeTrust Bank. White joined HomeTrust Bank in 2011 as Chief Administration Officer. She has over twenty years of human resources administration experience across several industries, including financial services. White received her undergraduate degree in Business from Rivier College, Nashua, NH and her MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She resides in the Asheville community of Biltmore Lake.
