Hamilton received her Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary studies from Appalachian State University in 2002, with a concentration in women’s studies. She has previous human resource experience with a local company in Asheville where she developed and coordinated employee insurance, benefits, an onsite health clinic, and human resource policies. Hamilton has also successfully completed and received her Professional Human Resource (PHR) certification and has obtained additional human resource training through the Society for Human Resource Management and the Human Resource Leadership Academy.
