Eric Van Buskirk provides financial guidance and strategic planning to clients across the state of Virginia.
As an Osaic Institutions Advisor Representative and Vice President at Home Trust Investment Services, Eric serves individuals, trusts, estates, and others with investment management, portfolio stewardship, and planning services.
Eric seeks to ensure his clients are well-positioned to navigate market shifts, economic changes, and financial hurdles at all stages of life by building genuine relationships and keeping his clients’ best interest in mind. He also aims to determine financial goals, time horizons, and risk tolerance while imparting expertise that fosters smart decision-making.
Born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Eric spent most of his life in Lynchburg, Virginia before graduating Hampden-Sydney College with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Religion.
He started his career in business consulting in 2015 before transitioning to wealth management services at Wells Fargo and then Freedom First, where he worked with clients across 14 branches in Roanoke, Lynchburg, and the New River Valley in Virginia.
Currently, Eric holds in-state life, annuity, and health insurance licenses, in addition to Series 6, 7, 63, and 66 registrations and a Security Industry Essentials certification.
Outside of work, he enjoys tinkering, traveling, playing outdoor sports, building guitars, listening to music, being at Smith Mountain Lake, and spending time with his wife, Kaitlyn, and their Maltipoo, Lulu.
He lives in Vinton, Virginia.
