Susan Puryear holds responsibility for the strategic direction of Professional Banking and Investment Services at HomeTrust Bank.

As Director, Susan oversees business development and retention, new products and delivery, and operational risk management and execution. She aims to take a collaborative approach to managing her 20-some member team and enhancing the customer experience at HomeTrust, and she believes the bank demonstrates a genuine concern for the needs of its customers every day.

Prior to joining the bank in 2020, she served as a Vice President and Wealth Advisor with BB&T Bank and as a Relationship Manager at Wachovia. She also served as a Vice President and Commercial Leader with RBC Bank.

Susan graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Banking. She serves on the board of RiverLink, volunteers with Manna Foodbank, and attends Biltmore Church. She also feels passionate about supporting women-owned businesses and spearheads various networking groups.

She is married with two children and loves doing anything outdoors, including hiking, running, swimming, and traveling.

Susan works at HomeTrust in downtown Asheville, North Carolina.
