As a Vice President and Financial Advisor at HomeTrust, John Callaway works with families and individuals at every stage of life to protect and grow wealth, plan for retirement, and ensure successful business succession plans.

In his role, he blends tax-efficient tactics with portfolio and investment management, including mutual funds, equities, annuities, insurance, long-term care planning, and fixed-income solutions.

He believes that every client’s path to financial success is unique and seeks to understand what matters most to someone before implementing a strategy.

Over a 20-year career in financial services, John has managed IRAs and taxable accounts for business owners; optimized cash flow, savings, and investment planning for high-income earners; and created roadmaps that factor in long-term planning and legacy goals for retirees.

John earned a Bachelor in Business Administration in Finance from Marshall University in West Virginia and honed his expertise working with high-net worth individuals and large institutions at major banks, including Wells Fargo, PNC, and Truist.

Outside of work, John coaches youth baseball and basketball and serves as an athletic director at Park Sharon Athletic Association.

He lives in Charlotte with his wife and two children and serves clients across the Carolinas from HomeTrust’s SouthPark office.
