I initially spent nearly 8 years with HomeTrust working on the retail side of the bank. I started as a Customer Service Representative and was later promoted to Branch Manager. After being presented with an opportunity elsewhere, I left for a short time, but I quickly realized just how special HomeTrust truly is, so I was excited to return in September 2022. Since coming back, I’ve had the privilege of working as a Mortgage Lender, and I can genuinely say I love what I do.

What makes HomeTrust stand out is the incredible culture, strong leadership, and leadership’s commitment to making this a great place to work. Our focus on serving our community in real and tangible ways is important to me personally, and it’s such a rewarding feeling knowing that we’re making a difference in people’s lives. I’m proud to be back home and a part of the HomeTrust family again.

I have been working with HTB for a little over 10 years now. I have worked in different departments that put me in a position where I worked with other departments and branches across our footprint. The one thing that has always stayed the same is teamwork.

It makes your job so much easier when you can rely on your team, no matter where they are located, to help you with questions, help you with a customer, or give you a little bit of encouragement when you need it. I work with a wonderful group of people, and it makes coming to work a pleasure.

When I joined HomeTrust Bank in 2014, I was drawn to the company because of its community feel and the chance to contribute to something that aligns with my personal and professional goals. I have always been passionate about understanding how a system or a process works and ways to make it better where you can.

Over my career in banking, I have held a few positions within operations. Primarily in a role where knowledge of both deposit and loan operations was essential. After transitioning to HomeTrust Bank, I found my niche with Commercial Loan Servicing.

I have been with HomeTrust Bank for 7 years, and throughout my time here, I have experienced firsthand what it means to be a part of a supportive, collaborative team. Teamwork is built into our company fundamentals, like #4 Think Team and #26 Collaborate. With the company fundamentals, the company fosters a positive culture where every employee is valued.

Management actively listens and provides the resources employees need to grow and succeed. This enabled me to progress in the Commercial Credit Department. I originally joined the bank as a Commercial Portfolio Manager before becoming a team lead. I have been in my current role of Commercial Credit Officer supporting the Asheville and non-metro markets for about 2 years.
