Cherlon L. Young Appointed Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager

Weaverville, NC—Cherlon Young recently joined HomeTrust Bank as an Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager in Weaverville. She holds responsibility for managing day-to-day operations of the branch office, connecting customers’ financial needs with products or services to meet those needs, and building trusting relationships with her team and customers.

“Being a part of a locally headquartered bank like HomeTrust allows me to continue to serve the folks of Madison and Northern Buncombe County,” says Young. “It’s important to me that my team and I help customers succeed financially and that we provide sound, trustworthy advice on their financial journey.”

Young has more than three decades of banking experience. Previously, she was a Wells Fargo branch manager in Weaverville. Before that, Young was branch manager at Wells Fargo in Marshall, NC, coaching and developing the branch team there in sales, service, and operations.

Young is married and has four children. When she’s not working, she enjoys traveling, camping, and all the outdoors has to offer. She attends Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, and volunteers her time at United Way, Community Housing Coalition, Junior Achievement, and serves as a parent volunteer for Brush Creek Elementary School in Marshall.
