The Manna Food Bank Empty Bowls Fundraiser is a unique and memorable event that celebrates community, art, and collaboration while bringing awareness to the very real problem of hunger.  Attendees choose a bowl handmade by local artisans and enjoy a meal of soup, bread, and dessert. The souvenir bowl they take home reminds them of all the empty bowls in the world.

This is the seventh year Pisgah Legal Services has hosted a forum to draw attention to the plight of people living in poverty in WNC. This event will include a talk from Matthew Desmond, PhD. His New York Times bestselling book Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City

This event allows Charlotte citizens and visitors a night each month to discover the city’s culture, for free! The crawl features admissions to Uptown art galleries and museums with free trolley rides between each exhibit.

Empty Bowls is a simple meal of soup and bread. All guests receive a handcrafted bowl to keep as a reminder of all the empty bowls at meal time in Polk County and around the world.

This 5K raises money for the Davidson County Education Foundation (DCEF). This organization is dedicated to the enrichment of educational opportunities in Davidson County by to providing support innovative programs that benefit the students of local Public School System.

Join us, and other leaders of the Asheville community for an enlightening and compelling look at the economy with Ted Abernathy, a nationally known economic futurist and expert on economic development.

This event will highlight the amazing skills of award-winning AB Tech Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts and Hospitality Management Departments, along with the Craft Beverage Institute of the Southeast. Money raised from the event will go to “Fund the Need” to support student scholarships.
