The Gail Parkins Memorial Ovarian Awareness Walk and 5k Run in Raleigh is intended to raise the level of awareness for this disease, provide financial support to research efforts, and to pay tribute to those touched by ovarian cancer.

Since 1946, the Davidson County Agricultural Fair has been a staple of Lexington, NC. Proceeds from this Fair are used to sponsor Kamp Kiwanis, a summer camp experience for more than 180 under-privileged Davidson County children.

Young Life will host their annual fundraising banquet, A Time to Build, on Wednesday September 21 at The Cove in Asheville.

This event, held at Highland Brewing Company in Asheville, encourages guests to get decked out in their 20’s best to raise money for The Arc of Buncombe County. There will be food, drinks, live music and an auction. Truly an event not to be missed!

Empty Bowls is a meal of soup and bread in a handcrafted bowl to keep as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. This Empty Bowls event will raise funds to stock Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry's food pantry in Polk County, NC.

Join AB Tech in the Brumit Center for Culinary Arts and Hospitality as they pay homage to Asheville’s vibrate and diverse restaurant scene, with a variety of interactive mini-restaurants located in and around the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Departments’ facility.

On Wednesday, October 5th, Pisgah Legal Services will welcome Marian Wright Edelman to Asheville as the keynote speaker for our 6th Annual Poverty Forum.
