HomeTrust Bank Holds Ground Breaking Ceremony at New South Asheville Office Site

Convenience and accessibility are the central focus of the new 4,500 square foot facility where customers will enjoy friendly, efficient service with easy access, multiple drive-up lanes, commercial deposits, ample parking, drive-up ATM for 24-hour banking, and complimentary wireless Internet access.

“Opening this new banking office is definitely an exciting time in the continued growth of HomeTrust Bank. This is our 16th HomeTrust banking office – and our 5th office in Buncombe County,” stated F. Ed Broadwell, Jr., Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of HomeTrust Bank. “Since 1926, we’ve helped generations of local folks own homes and grow their businesses. At our new South Asheville office, families and businesses will find all the products and services of a big out-of-town bank, while enjoying the warmth and personal care only a hometown, community bank can offer.”

ESD Architecture, a Charlotte-based architectural firm specializing exclusively in designing and building bank offices, designed the facility. Samsel Architects, an Asheville-based architectural firm, provided exterior and interior design consulting to ensure the bank’s new facility reflected an arts and crafts design, while also incorporating environmentally friendly, high energy-efficient features throughout.

Acting as general contractor for the new office construction is Hickory Construction Company, a bank customer and North Carolina construction company involved in several other projects in this community.

“All of us at HomeTrust Bank take tremendous pride in being a part of this community. For 82 years, HomeTrust Bank has proudly served families and businesses in Western North Carolina,” stated Dana L. Stonestreet, President and Chief Operating Officer of HomeTrust Bank. “In 2006 and 2007, we were voted “Best Bank” in Buncombe County. And, we have the fastest growing commercial banking department as well. This new banking office symbolizes our commitment to, and investment in, the future of Buncombe County for generations to come.”

HomeTrust Bank’s new South Asheville office is scheduled for completion by fall of 2008.
