Bishop, 48, was formerly with Wachovia Bank in Florida, most recently in the position of Senior Vice President/Retail Bank Director. He has over 25 years experience in retail and commercial banking.

Bishop received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 1981. He and his wife, Lisa, have 3 children, ages 21, 18, and 15. The family will be relocating to Buncombe County.
