Talley was chosen from among nine individual school teachers of the year based on the following criteria: Experience, continuing education, participation in school-based and community activities, innovative teaching approach, portfolio presentation and interview. He is known for his mission to teach not just music, but teamwork, dedication, self-discipline, and how to care for others.

VunCannon awarded $1,000 to Talley, acknowledging good teachers’ roles in helping shape career pathways. “HomeTrust Bank is pleased to support and recognize quality teachers in our community.”
