Mountain Housing Opportunities Celebrates New Apartments for Senior Citizens – Includes Video

On December 3, Mountain Housing Opportunities (MHO) held their annual Housewarming Party. This fundraiser was extra special this year, as MHO cut the ribbon on a 55 unit apartment complex designed specifically for low-income senior citizens.

HomeTrust Bank CEO, Dana Stonestreet, spoke at the event. “HomeTrust Bank has been a platinum sponsor of Mountain Housing for ten years,” Stonestreet said. “We do it because of our huge admiration for their organization and the work they do.”

As a community bank that has been financing homes in WNC for almost 90 years, HomeTrust recognizes that affordable housing is a critical need in Asheville. HomeTrust is passionate about supporting MHO’s long-standing efforts to advocate for and provide affordable housing in our community.
