Gene Rogero has provided financing for equipment needs ranging from material handling equipment for a large food processor in North Carolina to a public safety helicopter for a sheriff’s department in Florida.

As a Vice President and Equipment Finance Regional Sales Manager at HomeTrust, Gene aims to offer seamless financing solutions by paying close attention to his client’s needs. He specializes in the construction, manufacturing, healthcare and agricultural industries and has experience lending nationwide for capital equipment needs from $100K up to $15MM.

Among his representative transactions are a $7.5MM operating lease for pharmaceutical dispensing equipment for a large hospital in Florida; a $1.5MM loan for an MRI machine for a diagnosis imaging center in Georgia; $3MM tax-exempt financing for stadium lighting and equipment for a university in Indiana; and a $2MM lease line for bottling equipment for a beverage company in New York.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Florida, Gene began his career as a junior salesperson with CIT in Atlanta in 1986.

He has since worked for various large and small bank-owned equipment financing companies, including a roughly 20 year career at Citibank, where he managed and directed an energy and municipal finance team which generated $500MM annually in new business.

He is currently part of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association, Association for Governmental Leasing and Finance, and National Association of College and University Business Officers.

A Florida native (and Gator fan), he enjoys surf fishing and deep sea fishing for grouper, red snapper, and pompano. He has also hiked in Yosemite and Banff National Parks, along parts of the Appalachian Trail, and on the many trails throughout North and South Carolina.

He and his wife, Debbie, currently live in the Upstate of South Carolina, where they enjoy spending time with their four adult children and three grandchildren and visiting the state’s mountains and lakes.
