For nearly 25 years, David DeSorbo worked in the Telecommunications industry, honing his skills in a variety of roles, including as Director of Sales for AT&T.
But at age 39, David thought it was time for a change.
With the aim of pursuing his passion for helping businesses and individuals become financially sound, he enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Accounting program at Purdue Global.
Over four years of late nights and early mornings, he then became the first person in his family to earn an undergraduate degree – whereupon he almost immediately began pursuing his Master’s in Accounting.
Now, as Vice President, Business Banking Area Manager at HomeTrust, he focuses on establishing business loan, deposit, and treasury management services to clients with annual revenues of $500K to $5MM and lending needs up to $3MM.
David believes it is never too late to make a positive change, and he takes pride in helping clients as they scale up and grow. He also knows finances and business transactions are highly personal, and he feels humbled to build close relationships which inspire trust.
When not working, David enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, and backpacking. He has trekked through the Grand Canyon, explored the Rocky Mountains, and visited Panama, the Czech Republic, and other countries around the world.
He currently lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife and son.
