Gavin Shook manages and develops commercial business relationships for HomeTrust Bank in Milton, Georgia.
As Senior Vice President and Senior Commercial Relationship Manager, his areas of expertise include asset-based lines of credit, large commercial real estate transactions, equipment financing, business acquisitions, and general business strategy.
Over his 25-year career, Gavin has worked with clients ranging from local manufacturers, distributors, and service providers to professional practitioners such as doctors and attorneys.
He believes banking relationships are built on trust, patience, and partnership, and he takes pride in having stood by his clients through both growth cycles and economic downturns.
Gavin began his corporate career working for technology companies including Oracle and EDS, where he held various roles in sales support and operations. In the early 2000s, he joined Bank of America, where he specialized in lending for RV, boat, and auto dealers.
In 2007, he transitioned into commercial lending, overseeing large portfolios and long-term client relationships across diverse industries. His portfolio has included companies of all sizes, including some generating more than $150MM in annual revenue.
Gavin graduated from Georgia Southern University and the Georgia Banking School, and he is an active member of the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce.
When not working, he enjoys fishing, hiking, boating, and spending time outdoors. He also coached youth soccer for 15 years and organizes an annual charity fishing tournament benefiting the Goshen Valley Children’s Home.
A Roswell, Georgia native, Gavin and his wife, a teacher in Cherokee County, have two children.
