As a Vice President in the construction lending division at HomeTrust Bank, Michael Hatcher brings a lifelong understanding of the construction industry to his clients.
Michael began in the industry at age nine by picking up trash on commercial construction sites where his father was a general contractor.
As an adult, he has restored and renovated commercial buildings and houses in spots including Atlanta, Charleston, and Nantucket.
Michael takes pride in helping his clients understand the nuance of the industry through his firsthand knowledge of the rigors of securing building permits, working through downturns, and making projects successful.
At HomeTrust, he assists homebuilders and developers with acquisition, development, and construction financing. He specializes in construction, housing, banking, and regulations and enjoys hearing what his clients are planning to help them figure out the next step.
Michael is also a member of the Greater Atlanta HomeBuilders Association and currently serves on the board of HomeAid Atlanta.
Born in Atlanta, he attended the University of Georgia and received a Bachelor in Economics. He and his wife have three kids and two dogs and live in Smyrna, Georgia.
