Dan Collins is an Asheville native who has spent his entire professional career serving North Carolina and the greater Southeast.

As Senior Vice President and Senior Commercial Relationship Manager at HomeTrust, Dan serves as a trusted advisor to middle‑market commercial and industrial companies throughout the Charlotte metropolitan area.

His client base includes manufacturers, distributors, commercial real estate developers and investors, professional service firms, family offices, private equity managers, and nonprofit organizations ranging from private schools to charitable institutions.

With nearly 30 years of experience, Dan provides comprehensive financial guidance across the spectrum of commercial banking, including commercial lending, working capital and capital expenditure financing, treasury and cash management solutions, derivatives, and other funding structures.

In each engagement, Dan partners closely with ownership groups, CFOs, controllers, and executive leadership teams to strengthen financial performance, optimize liquidity, and deploy capital effectively.

Through his deep understanding of the local market, Dan has built long‑standing relationships across the region’s business and nonprofit communities, often leading complex, multi‑faceted credit relationships and helping organizations during times of growth, transformation, and restructuring.

Among his representative transactions are structuring a $23MM credit solution for a Charlotte‑market manufacturing company comprised of owner‑occupied real estate, a revolving line of credit, equipment finance, and a delayed draw term loan; arranging a $13MM multi‑phase financing solution to support the expansion/renovation of a local nonprofit; and leading a $65MM deposit and treasury management solution within the private equity sector.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is a graduate of the BB&T Banking School at Wake Forest University.

He spent the first 11 years of his career in treasury management before transitioning into commercial lending in 2007, a background which he believes has given him a unique perspective in bridging operational efficiency with strategic financial planning.

Outside of his professional role, Dan is a golfer, artist, and dedicated family man.

He is also a certified, North Carolina beekeeper who tends multiple hives year‑round and recently harvested nearly 100 pounds of honey.
