Benjie Lanier, an SBA Business Development Officer at HomeTrust, focuses on a range of industries across the country including an audio electronics distributor in Georgia, a sporting goods store in Alaska, a daycare in Montana, and a specialty supermarket in New York.
Benjie’s areas of expertise include owner-occupied real estate, business acquisitions, equipment loans, partner buyouts, standard operating procedures, and working capital. He enjoys shepherding customers through the lending process and is proud that his work helping complete loan transactions can change a customer’s life.
Benjie started his business banking career in 2003 and has held roles as an SBA Development Officer, Business Banker, and Credit Analyst. He earned his Bachelor in Marketing and Finance and his Masters of Business Administration from Francis Marion University.
He enjoys playing blues guitar and taking long-distance backpacking trips, including multiple 30-mile section hikes on the Appalachian Trail.
He and his wife have two children and a rescued supermutt named Murphy. He serves as a Scoutmaster for his son’s Boy Scout troop and coaches his daughter’s basketball team.
