Chamois Campbell started his career as a trained paramedic. When not working double shifts in the ambulance as a 20-something-year-old, he also learned about commercial loans and SBA lending from his mother’s one-stop lending shop. He slowly began offering loans to medical professionals starting their own endeavors and has been in banking ever since.
Chamois joined HomeTrust as a Small Business Administration Business Development Officer in 2021 and believes the communication skills he learned long ago as a paramedic continue to help him clearly convey the intricacies of loans.
He works with small businesses across the United States to provide financing for real estate purchases, rent replacements, openings, acquisitions, and equipment purchases and finds each business unique in its needs and services.
Some of his recent transactions include $4.3MM for equipment refinancing for a barter company; $2.8MM to a start-up feed store with real estate; and $1.0MM for a real estate purchase by a wedding boutique store in North Carolina. Over his more than two decade banking career, Chamois has also financed a convention center on Sea Island used by G8 leaders and a television set for the Discovery Channel’s “Gold Rush” series.
Chamois graduated from Ashworth College with a Bachelor in Criminal Justice and Political Science and holds a medical license in paramedicine.
He enjoys deep sea fishing off the coast of Georgia in his 26-foot twin engine boat and lives outside of Savannah with his wife, two children, and boxer pup.
