In 2014, Sanjay Dave sought to acquire his own automotive service station after working for more than a dozen years as a mechanic.
The deal ultimately fell through, but the process paved his way into the world of Small Business Administration loans, changing the course of his career trajectory. Sanjay ultimately began spending nights working toward a degree in Finance before working as an SBA underwriter and Business Development Officer for various banks.
Today, he serves as a Vice President and Business Development Officer at HomeTrust Bank, where he originates SBA(7a) and USDA loans for business acquisitions, partner buyouts, debt refinancing, commercial real estate acquisitions, and more.
In his role, Sanjay seeks to use his own background and understanding of how businesses operate to meet the needs of clients and provide them with the financing needed to grow.
Among his representative transactions are a $2.85MM international trade loan for a manufacturing facility based in Tampa Bay; a $2.95MM debt refinance for an IT company; a $1.4MM real estate acquisition in South Florida for a food manufacturing facility; and a $1.2MM commercial mortgage refinance for an IT company in New York.
Sanjay received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of South Florida and is based in Tampa, Florida.
When not in the office, he enjoys fishing the flats in the Tampa Bay area, exploring the great outdoors, and visiting national parks with his son and wife.
